MLP:FiM Flash-Sandbox Game

A while ago, a small video demo of a Pony Game Creator popped up and people got really excited, but it quickly died down and was never heard from again. Now, a month later, it's risen back from the dead. Emily Taylor, creator of the Custom Pony Game, and PonyPonyPonyPony, and her team have been slaving away on this game, and it's looking marvelous so far.

The game is being made in Flash, and will consist of an actual game game, and an open game creating source engine when completed, though the engine will be released after the game. Many things, such as platforms, backgrounds, multiple characters, and movement have already been developed, but the team is still looking for people to help! MLP Online Combat Update 4/30/11

MLP Online is a fan made My Little Pony Friendship is Magic MMO, currently being produced by Urimas, Salty Justice, and their team of programmers, spriters, and other members in a custom made C++ engine. The project has been in development for just about a month now, and the engine for just over a week, and when finished, will be 100% free to play.

The MMO is still in its early stages, but a lot of the features are already nearing completion The game currently has eight different movement directions, functional NPCs, flying, bucking (Kicking objects around) and several maps.

The battle system is currently being worked on, you can play a short demo of what it might look like HERE.
The team is also working on scripted events, allowing for smallcut-scenesto take place, as seen below.

Currently, only Ponyville and Sweet Apple Acres are the two completed maps, and Fluttershy's cottage is being worked on. There will be many other maps in the near future, allowing players to fully explore Equestria.

Equestria Gaming has a domain!

Well, you may have noticed, but Equestria Gaming now has it's own domain!
www.equestriagaming.com will now be the link to this blog, and I owe it all to Derpyhooves.com!

The wonderfully awesome Derpy Squad over at Derpyhooves.com went ahead and got me a domain, I've known him for a while now, and I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

So if you haven't already, go and check out his site, derpyhooves.com, he does all sorts of neat news updates, along with a few games over there. It's a really helpful place!

MLP:FiM Flash Game Story Contest

Fillies and Gentleponies,

The development team of MLP:FiM The Flash Game is holding a story contest for their game. The main goal is for some ponyto create an interesting storyline that will fuel the actual game, it needs to be detailed and long enough so the game canbe built upon it.


[ The Game ]

MLP:FiM The Flash Game is a platformer style game. It will have large multiple levels with mini bosses and of course atthe end, the final boss. Think Megaman or Sonic the Hedgehog style games. The game will feature unlockable characterswhich will be used to access areas in levels that you could not access before to advance in levels. Each character will beunlocked after defeating one of the mini bosses. So its a cross between adventure and puzzle solving.

[ Rules ]

1. No Grimdark.
2. No Shipping.
3. Primary gameplay must focus around the main ponies, not including Trixie, BonBon, Lyra, Spike, etc.
4. It must remain completely in line with what you could imagine actually happening in the show.
5. Stories are not to be posted anywhere.

The reason we do not want the stories to be posted anywhere is so the mystery of the game is kept a secret to the generalpublic. Otherwise if you know the story beforehand, its not as fun. Stories will be judged by the development team andthe author will be kept unknown to them until a winner is elected.
